Chael Sonnen and Teddy Atlas hatten a chat about UFC 292 winner Sean O’Malley and noticed he’s got some similarities with Israel Adesanya. You know, they seem to be cut from the same cloth.

UFC champ Sean O’Malley, the bantamweight champ from UFC 292, caught Chael Sonnen’s eye. Chael, the guy who’s never shy about his thoughts, did some comparing. He talked about ‘The Sugar Show’ and even gave a nod to Teddy Atlas for spotting the likenesses between Sean and Israel Adesanya.

In the UFC, fighters often get measured up based on their fighting style and records, among other things. But rarely do we see someone getting compared for their swagger and attitude outside the cage.

Chael Sonnen and Teddy Atlas pointed out that UFC champ Sean O’Malley and Israel Adesanya both give off a similar vibe. Chael dug deeper in his recent chat with Farah Hannoun and Danny Segura from USA Today.

”Sean O’Malley’s got that special something, and he’s doing this new thing, not just with his hair”, said Chael Sonnen, the American Gangster. Chael even noticed that, after winning UFC 292, Sean’s been acting different in public. ”Now he’s going places without a shirt, and even if he starts with a shirt, it magically disappears.”

Chael then spilled the beans on how he and Teddy Atlas came up with this idea. ”I was talking with Teddy Atlas this morning, and he didn’t say UFC champ Sean O’Malley the next Conor McGregor. „He said Sean’s more like Israel Adesanya, which I found pretty darn interesting.”
